Monday
This week we are going to look at things that keep us healthy, so to start our Healthy bodies topic we would like you and your adults to read this story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar:

Now can you tell your adult which foods did the caterpillar eat that are healthy and which foods are unhealthy?

Tuesday
Now that you have read The Very Hungry Caterpillar, you know the life cycle of a butterfly. Using a piece of plain paper put the title Life cycle of a butterfly and underneath draw all the stages from the egg to the butterfly. You can make your picture as colourful as you like, get creative!

Wednesday
Today is the day to hunt in the kitchen cupboards (with your adult’s permission). Make two piles, one with all of the healthy food you have found and one with all the unhealthy foods you have found. Which is the biggest pile? Which pile would you like to eat the most?

Challenge
Can you design a healthy meal from what you have found?

Thursday
Today we would like you to draw and label all of the healthy foods that you like to eat. If you are not sure if they are healthy you can ask your adult or ask them to help you research them on the internet.

Challenge
Using your food list can you draw a plate of healthy food that you would like to eat for a meal. ( Maybe you could even help your adult to make this meal over the next few days and send us a picture to our email:

Fun Friday!
Let’s get creative again today. Can you make your own Very Hungry Caterpillar? There are lots of different ways you can do this with whatever you have in your home. You could paint a picture using a brush or even your hands:

You could make an egg box caterpillar:
Or even a puppet:
Why not get creative with healthy foods?
Whatever you do have fun and be healthy!
